Paraguay and Peru begin their quest to reach the 2026 World Cup to be held in Canada-USA-Mexico in which CONMEBOL has 6.5 tickets. Neither team qualified into Qatar 2022, therefore they will hope to begin their new journey on the right foot.
While Paraguay is the home side and will be led by stars Miguel Almiron and Gustavo Gomez, Peru has higher expectations in the qualifiers. They barely missed qualifying to Qatar after their historic loss to New Zealand. With that in mind, this will be a close match that will undoubtedly set the tone for the rest of Round 1 fixtures.
