MIAMI – The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup continues with Panama taking on Jamaica in Group C on Tuesday at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas, USA.

The meeting will be the third clash between the nations in Gold Cup history. Jamaica holds the upper hand with a win and draw. The Reggae Boyz victory came in the 2019 quarterfinals in Philadelphia.

In the last ten all-time meetings between the two sides, Panama has the advantage with a 6-2-2 record.

Panama enters undefeated so far in this tournament, scoring six combined goals while only allowing two. A narrow 1-nil win over Guatemala has the Panamanians in the top spot of the group.

Jamaica is coming off its first victory of the campaign, and in second place of the group. The Jamaicans need to defeat Panama and end with a better goal difference to take first place in the group.

A loss could be costly and eliminate the Reggae Boyz, depending on what happens in the Guadeloupe-Guatemala match. The last time Jamaica failed to make it out of the Gold Cup group stage was in the 2009 edition.

All-Time series Panama v. Jamaica

Panama and Jamaica are set to meet for the third time in Concacaf Gold Cup history. So far, Jamaica holds the upper hand with one win and one draw.

The Reggae Boyz earned their only Gold Cup win over Panama in the 2019 quarterfinals, claiming a 1-0 victory at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia thanks to a 75th-minute penalty from Darren Mattocks. Their first Gold Cup encounter ended in a 1-1 draw on July 17, 1993, in Group A play at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, with Víctor Mendieta scoring for Panama (50') and Paul Davis equalizing for Jamaica (76').

Jamaica also holds the edge in their two most recent meetings in official Concacaf competitions. In addition to the 2019 Gold Cup win, the Reggae Boyz claimed a 1-0 victory in the third-place match of the 2023–24 Concacaf Nations League on March 24, 2024, with Dexter Lembikisa scoring in the 41st minute at AT&T Stadium.

Still, Panama has historically had the upper hand. In the last 10 meetings between the two sides, Panama has won 6, drawn 2, and lost just 2. In 2013, during FIFA World Cup Qualifying for Brazil 2014, the teams played to a 1-1 draw in Kingston (Marvin Elliott 23’ for Jamaica, Luis Henríquez 66’ for Panama), followed by a scoreless draw in Panama City.

All-Time Series (All Competitions):

- 19 matches

- 9 wins for Panama (26 goals)

- 6 draws

- 4 wins for Jamaica (16 goals)
