Ovie Ejaria joins Real Oviedo | OneFootball

Former Reading midfielder Ovie Ejaria has returned to football by signing for newly-promoted Real Oviedo.

The La Liga side have announced that the 27-year-old former England youth international has signed a two-year deal with the club after having already trained under former Royals boss, Veljko Paunovic.

The 27-year-old initially came through the Arsenal academy before switching to Liverpool where he played eight senior games during the 2016/17 season under Jürgen Klopp.

Ejaria began his time at Reading on loan midway through the 2018/19 before it was extended for a further season. A permanent switch followed in 2020 with the player making 127 appearances for the Royals in total before leaving on a free at the end of the 2022/23 campaign, one that saw him feature just eight times.

Oviedo begin their La Liga campaign on Friday evening away to Villarreal.
