Ousmane Dembélé didn’t score during PSG’s dominant win over Montpellier (3-0), but the French international was pleased with his teammates’ positive display before Les Parisiens face AC Milan in the Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain managed to secure a fifth successive win in all competitions to take Ligue 1 Uber Eats’ top spot before OGC Nice and AS Monaco play this weekend. Ousmane Dembélé spoke to the media following the dominant display at the Parc des Princes (3-0) having provided the assist for Warren Zaïre-Emery’s second goal in two games.

"We played really well, we wanted to take this match seriously and be leaders before the other sides play," said the France international. "We’ve prepared well for the big match [against Milan] in the Champions League. Now we’re getting to know each other better and better after playing 3-4 months together now."

Ugarte: 'putting our ideas into practice'

Midfielder Manuel Ugarte was equally as confident that PSG have finally found their groove this season whilst speaking to Amazon Prime Video. "It was a great performance from the team, with three great goals. We had a lot of chances. We need to continue like that. We've got ideas, we're starting to put them in place, and that's important for PSG. We're getting better."

A 3-0 win caps-off five matches in which Luis Enrique’s side have kept a 100% win record, with Les Parisiens in fine form to travel to the San Siro next Tuesday and take on AC Milan on their own patch.
