Ousmane Dembélé ready to walk away from Barcelona
Get Spanish Football News
Ousmane Dembélé will look for a new club if Barcelona are not able to come up with a better contract renewal offer by the end of this week, according to Sky Sports.
Barca met with the player’s agent Moussa Sissoko on Monday and the club asked for more time to solve the financial problems that have prevented them from offering Dembélé terms at market value.
Club manager Xavi is said to have interrupted his holiday to be part of the meeting but no progress was made between the parties.
As things stand, the Camp Nou outfit are not able to register new signings Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessié due to their FFP situation and the salary cap imposed on them by La Liga.
Terms have been agreed to sign both players on free transfers from Chelsea and AC Milan respectively, but Sky Sports report that Barca have approached them again to ask if these can be renegotiated in order to be able to register them ahead of their pre-season return.
Barcelona will travel to the United States in July as part of their pre-season preparation ahead of the new 2022-23 season.
