Ever the underdogs, Crystal Palace were barely given a chance in their 1989/90 FA Cup semi-final against Liverpool.
That was more than justified given the Reds were on their way to an 18th league title, and had demolished the Eagles 9-0 early in the season.
Palace found themselves 1-0 down at half time after Ian Rush's early goal, but things would kick into overdrive after the break.
An enthalling end-to-end second half ensued and, despite trailing 3-2 in the 87th minute, Andy Gray's brave header sent the game to extra time and no other than future Crystal Palace gaffer Alan Pardew applied the finishing touch to send the Eagles to Wembley.
Will Oliver Glasner's Palace produce similar heroics against Aston Villa in the 2024/25 FA Cup semi-final?
