Player of the Tournament 👏

The champions wouldn’t have been achieve what they achieved if it wasn’t for Rodri.

City’s midfield lynchpin is the best in the world in his position, operating as the conductor of the orchestra and linking everything together from his deep space in the middle of the park.

The Spaniard has also popped up at some big moments for his team, scoring a stunner to break the deadlock against Real Madrid in the second leg of the semi-final.

Before he provided the decisive moment in the final with a goal befitting of his ability, a divine, first-time effort which found the tightest space in the bottom corner to send City on their way to glory.

Young Player of the Tournament 👶

We had to really fight hard not to give him the Player of the Season award as well but it’s only right that Erling Haaland comes away with a personal accolade from this campaign.

The 22-year-old has been phenomenal in his first campaign as a City player, hitting 12 goals to become the outright top goalscorer in the competition.

He became the first player to score 25 goals in his first 20 Champions League appearances when he bagged two against Sevilla in September.

RB Leipzig then felt the full force of the Norwegian in the Last-16 when he scored five against the Bundesliga side, tying with Lionel Messi and Luiz Adriano for most goals scored in a single Champions League match.

An utter machine. And there’s more to come.

Breakthrough Player of the Tournament 💨

Napoli’s Georgian magician Khvicha Kvaratskhelia burst on to the scene out of nowhere this season, tearing Ajax, Liverpool and Rangers apart in the group stages as his club moved on to the quarter-finals.

The 22-year-old netted two goals and produced four assists in his debut Champions League campaign.

Surprise of the Tournament 🤯

The Champions League usually tends to have one big shock result or a surprise outfit having an extended run in the tournament, think Villarreal progressing through to the semi-finals in 2021/22.

But surprises have been few and far in-between this time around.

Inter have produced the biggest surprise of note, making it all the way to the final for the first time since 2010 despite having a patchy domestic season.

Coach of the Tournament 👔

It can’t be anyone other the man who has guided Manchester City to their first ever Champions League title, lifting it for the third time as a coach after winning it with Barcelona in 2009 and 2011.

Goal of the Tournament 😍

Haaland’s stunning volley against Borussia Dortmund deserves a special mention but how about shining a light on someone else?

So this piledriver from Benfica’s Alex Grimaldo against Maccabi Haifa gets our vote.

Game of the Tournament 🏟️

This game had it all. Drama, jeopardy, stunning goals and a late goal leading to the group stage elimination of Barcelona.

Robin Goosen’s 89th-minute goal knocked Barça out of the competition in the 89th-minute with Xavi’s side needing a win to avoid a group stage exit for the second season running.
