📊 OneFootball Power Rankings: Three European giants vying for #1

Welcome back! It’s been a breathtaking week of football across Europe’s top leagues.

Wolves have dropped out of our top 10 form sides, Barcelona haven’t quite done another to sneak back in, and our top four are all on fire.

10. Arsenal (🆕)

Well they were going to show up eventually, weren’t they? Mikel Arteta’s side are five unbeaten, with four wins, and had a big week.

After beating Wolves away, they held on with 10-men to draw with Leicester on Tuesday. Next up? Spurs, Liverpool, Man City. Ouch.

9. Juventus (👎 Last week: 6)

Oh Juventus. They were 2-0 up and flying at San Siro, edging closer to a ninth successive Serie A title. Only to concede FOUR.

It doesn’t matter how many wins in a row they had before then, a mishap like that was inevitably going to lead to a big slide.

8. Man City (👍 Last week: 10)

City are messing with us, making it impossible to choose where to put them. They lose to Chelsea, they beat Liverpool. They lose to Southampton, they smash Newcastle.

That defeat at St Mary’s almost had them out of our Power Rankings entirely but a superb 5-0 demolition of Newcastle on Wednesday sees them up to eighth.

7. Liverpool (No change)

Liverpool are over their big defeat at the Etihad and they’re well on their way to a Premier League points record. Maybe.

Wins against Aston Villa and Brighton were a little flattering and Jürgen Klopp’s side will have to play a bit better to keep picking up wins.

6. Atlético Madrid (👎 Last week: 5)

That’s right, eight games after LaLiga returned Atlético remain unbeaten.

A draw with Celta Vigo in midweek was a disappointment but Diego Simeone’s men have been playing well and are primed to bounce back against Betis on Saturday.

5. Napoli (👍 Last week: 9)

Why isn’t anyone talking about Napoli? They’ve been hanging around the bottom few places here for a couple of weeks but they’re finally on the rise now.

Atalanta – more on them soon – may have beaten them but Gennaro Gattuso’s side have won their other four league games since lifting the Coppa Italia. Impressive.

4. Atalanta (👎 Last week: 2)

Your weekly reminder that you simply must watch Atalanta.

It’s now six wins from six, 15 goals, and three clean sheets in a row. Gian Piero Gasperini, we salute you.

3. Man Utd (👍 Last week: 4)

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has found the magic formula – play all your star players – and it’s working! Pogba looks great, Fernandes is on fire, and a front three of Rashford, Martial, Greenwood may just be unstoppable.

With 11 goals in their last three league outings, United are starting to look like Europe’s must-watch team.

2. Real Madrid (👍 Last week: 3)

They win and they win and they win. They find a way no matter what and it invariably involves Sergio Ramos.

It’s seven wins in a row now, Ramos has scored in five of those games, and four clean sheets on the bounce. Three more and they’ll clinch the title.

1. Bayern Munich (No change)

We’re running out of words for Bayern, who make it a third week on top after completing a domestic double.

A supreme DFB Pokal final performance made sure of that, but with no games for over a month they’ll be slipping down the rankings before long.
