On-loan Barcelona striker Vitor Roque will play no part in Real Betis’ next La Liga outing.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Wednesday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Heliópolis.
Real Betis are primed to return to action tomorrow evening, when they make the trip to Gran Canaria for a meeting with Las Palmas.
As per MD, however, summer signing Roque will not be part of the travelling party.
This comes owing to ongoing ‘discomfort in his left leg’, first noted during Betis’ defeat at the hands of Mallorca this past Monday.
The Brazilian sat out training on Wednesday once more, and will therefore not be risked against Las Palmas in 24 hours’ time.
Elsewhere in Manuel Pellegrini’s squad, Marc Bartra is also in line to miss out on Thursday, alongside long-term absentees Isco, and William Carvalho.
In more positive news, though, Johnny Cardoso should be available to feature from the off, having recovered from a recent fitness problem of his own.
