Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has expressed his delight at the club’s extension agreement with Kingsley Coman.
There were fears the France international would seek fresh pastures before he put pen to paper in January on a deal that ties him down until 2027.
Speaking to kicker about Coman’s decision to stay, Kahn said: “I’m happy that King continuously developed in the past years.
“He’s absolutely world class and an attraction for the fans, one of the best players in the world technically in fast pace, one of the best dribblers and always a threat.”
Coman has started the Bundesliga season in superb form, with one goal and three assists in his three appearances to date.
“I feel that the contract extension gave him another boost,” Kahn said.
“We told him again how valuable he is to us and how happy we are that we have him.”
Coman has expressed his desire to land a second Champions League with Die Roten, and their bid to do so will begin with a heavyweight clash with Inter Milan on Wednesday.
