Speaking after OGC Nice’s 4-1 victory over SCO Angers, Franck Haise confirmed that Jordan Lotomba (25) is on his way out of the club. L’Équipe understands that the Switzerland international is on the verge of joining Eredivisie side Feyenoord.
Lotomba has been linked with a move away from Nice throughout the summer, however, it is only after the closure of the window in France that a departure has taken form. An agreement between Le Gym and Feyenoord was found on Sunday, with Haise later confirming the deal.
“Lotomba is leaving, yes. It happened today,” said Haise, who said that should the Swiss defender leave as planned, he would like to bring in a replacement. That would come either in the form of a free agent, or a “joker”, where the signing of a player from the domestic market in France is permitted to sign in certain circumstances. Lotomba’s prospective move to Feyenoord would meet the criteria and so Florian Maurice, less than a week after the closure of the transfer window, is set to dip back into the market.
