The coaching staff that will join new head coach Stefano Pioli at AC Milan has been officially confirmed.

The Rossoneri confirmed the sacking of Marco Giampaolo on Tuesday evening, and confirmed the appointment of Pioli as his successor today via a statement on their official website.

Giampaolo lasted just 111 days in charge – the shortest reign of any manager in the club’s history – and leaves with the team having lost four out of seven to start the season.

Pioli meanwhile arrived at Casa Milan this morning to sign his contract, and was presented to the media not long after.

The former Lazio, Inter and Fiorentina boss pledged to work hard in order to correct the poor start to the season, and even responded to the ‘#PioliOut’ fan protests.
