The Supercoppa Italiana final between Inter and AC Milan will be played in January next year in Saudi Arabia.

Lega Serie A have officially announced the date and the destination of the first trophy that will be up for grabs in the 2022/23 season for Italian teams.

The match will take place on January 18 in 2023 and it will be played in Riyadh, a city in Saudi Arabia.

It will be contested by Inter as they won the Coppa Italia last season and AC Milan because they won the Scudetto.

The 2021/22 edition of the tournament was held at the Stadio Olimpico and it saw Inter come out on top. The Nerazzurri were up against Juventus as they were the previous Coppa Italia winners.

The game went to extra time after Nicolo Barella had scored a great goal for Inter earlier in the game. Alexis Sanchez got the winning goal in the 120th minute to clinch the trophy.
