Stade de Reims midfielder Amir Richardson (22) has officially signed for Serie A side AFC Fiorentina, both clubs have announced. La Viola have reportedly fended off competition from Premier League outfits to secure the services of the Morocco international in agreeing to a €10m transfer fee with a 10% sell-on fee attached to any future transfer with Reims.
Richardson was loaned to Le Havre for the 2022-2023 season and proved instrumental in helping the Normandy club achieve a Ligue 1 promotion. The 22-year-old was subsequently named in the XI of the Ligue 2 season. He returned to Reims last year and featured 28 times for Will Still’s team, logging three goals and one assist. Richardson competed with his national Morocco team at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he secured the bronze medal.
