Paris Saint-Germain have announced that Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe (22) has been transferred to Eintracht Frankfurt. The midfielder was loaned to the German club this season. The move automatically became permanent when the Rhine outfit assured Bundesliga status for next season as part of a stipulation in the initial loan contract. The 2022 Europa League winners finished 7th. Therefore, Frankfurt triggered the €6m permanent option to buy the player from PSG, with whom Dina Ebimbe was under contract for another 12 months until 2024. Now, the PSG youth product is tied up with the Rhine side on a contract until 2027.
Last season, Dina Ebimbe played 10 league games for Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG. He was informed last summer that he would not be in Christophe Galtier’s plans, which led to his move to the Bundesliga. Dina Ebimbe played 28 games in all competitions this term, which was disrupted by an ankle ligament injury. He scored three goals, including a last-minute game-winning strike this past Saturday for Frankfurt’s final game of the season, against Freiburg.
