Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin announced on Monday the contract extension of 34-year-old right-sided defender Peter Pekarík by another year, becoming their longest-serving player.
“Peka is a model professional, has been a Herthaner for years and is a role model with his reliability and mentality,” said sporting director Fredi Bobic. “We are therefore really pleased that we’ll continute working with him for another year.”
Pekarík has played 190 games in all competitions for Hertha and made 24 appearances last season.
