RC Strasbourg Alsace have confirmed the arrival of Andrew Omobamidele (22). The Irishman joins from Nottingham Forest on a loan deal that the French club have the option to make permanent at the end of the campaign.

Omobamidele has seven caps for the Ireland national team but this season for Nottingham Forest has made just one first-team appearance, which came in the EFL Cup. He therefore hasn’t had any involvement in Nottingham Forest’s successful Premier League campaign.

Since making the move from Norwich City to Nottingham Forest for a fee of a little over €12m back in 2023, he has made just 15 appearances for the Premier League side. He heads to Alsace with the aim of getting more minutes and getting his career back on track.

Strasbourg have confirmed the arrival of Omobamidele on loan. The Ligue 1 side will have the option to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign. The value of that permanent clause has not been revealed.
