RC Strasbourg Alsace have rejected a bid for Dilane Bakwa (22) worth €28m, according to a report from L’Équipe.
The bid was submitted by Premier League side Nottingham Forest, however, it falls short of Strasbourg’s valuation of the winger. That offer was worth €24m, with another €4m in bonuses.
Bakwa has excelled at RCSA since making the move from formative club Girondins de Bordeaux two summers ago. Last season was his most prolific as he netted six goals and registered nine assists, an important contribution as Les Alsaciens went on to secure qualification for this season’s UEFA Europa Conference League.
Bakwa is under contract until 2027, and whilst Strasbourg are not completely closed to selling the France U21 international, it will be on their terms. The Alsace club have set a price tag between €30-35m. Whilst Nottingham Forest’s opening bid has been rejected, L’Équipe understands that another bid is expected to be tabled.
