Napoli have officially signed the paperwork with Ipswich Town for Jens Cajuste, who moves on loan with option to buy that becomes mandatory under certain conditions at €13.5m.
According to Fabrizio Romano and Sacha Tavolieri, the final details were sorted out this evening and the contracts exchanged.
Ipswich Town will pay €1.5m for the one-season loan and retain an option to buy at the end of the year for €12m.
However, this becomes an obligation if they manage to stay in the Premier League and avoid relegation.
The midfielder was not part of new coach Antonio Conte’s plans for this season, having been signed from Stade Reims a year ago for €12m.
He made 35 competitive appearances for the club, contributing two assists, but also receiving nine yellow cards.
A Sweden international with 23 senior caps, he made his mark first at FC Midtjylland.
During this summer, Cajuste had also been linked with Brentford, Galatasaray, Fiorentina and Genoa, but had his heart set on the Premier League.
