Mainz 05 have announced that Strasbourg defender Anthony Caci has signed a four-year contract with the Bundesliga club and will join them at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old joins M05 on a free transfer when his contract expires, beating fellow Bundesliga clubs Eintracht Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin to the signing of Caci.
“I’m very happy and proud to be coming to Mainz for four years, wearing the colours of this ambitious club and giving everything together with my future teammates. I’m also looking forward to getting to know and experience the Bundesliga,” said Caci.
The Frenchman has played 99 games in all competitions for Strasbourg and can operate anywhere in the defence, offering versatility to Mainz’ backline.
