The two clubs reached an agreement on Saturday so the youngster flew to Rome on Sunday evening and underwent his medicals on Monday. Lazio have now released a statement on their official website confirming the loan operation.

While the official note didn’t reveal any figures, reports in the Italian media claimed that the Biancocelesti will have the right to purchase the player on a permanent basis for circa €10 million, while the Bavarian giants’ buy-back option is worth €25 million.

The Role

The versatile Ibrahimovic has already played in various roles thus far in his young career, even during his loan stint at Frosinone last season. As Il Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) explains, the 19-year-old enjoys playing as a Number 10 or 8, and can also feature on the wings.

Nevertheless, the source expects Marco Baroni to sculpt him as a box-to-box midfielder, especially after recently testing a 4-3-3 formation.
