La Liga giants Barcelona have on Monday afternoon provided an update on the wellbeing of star winger Lamine Yamal.
This, of course, comes after the 17-year-old set alarm bells sounding across Catalunya’s capital over the weekend.
Afforded a starting berth in Spain’s Nations League meeting with Denmark, Lamine was subjected to a series of heavy challenges over the course of the 90 minutes.
Post-match, the attacker was in turn spotted departing the Estadio Nueva Condomina limping heavily, before being sent home by the Spanish national team doctors, not considered in a fit state to participate against Serbia on Tuesday.
Lamine, as a result, was put through a fresh round of medical tests back in Barcelona on Monday morning.
And, as alluded to above, a short time ago, the results of as much were revealed.
As per a statement across the Blaugrana’s official website and social media platforms:
‘Tests carried out this morning on first team player Lamine Yamal have confirmed that he has a left hamstring strain. His return to training will be determined by his recovery time.’
Barcelona are primed to return to action on the back of the international break this coming Sunday, in a La Liga meeting with Sevilla.
Lamine, as things stand, is considered a doubt to feature.
