Eintracht Frankfurt have today announced the permanent signing of Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe from French champions PSG until June 2027.

The 22-year-old midfielder was signed by Die Adler in the summer on loan from the Parisians, but he has quickly developed into a key player for Frankfurt. The Eagles have decided to exercise their option to buy which is believed to be around the €6m mark.

However, Christopher Michel of Sport1 has indicated that PSG have a clause in the contract that they can re-sign Ebimbe for around €20m.

Since joining SGE in the summer, Ebimbe has featured 28 times in all competitions where he has been able to contribute three goals and one assist. This even included the important winning goal in Eintracht’s 2-1 win over SC Freiburg on matchday 34 which placed Die Adler into seventh place in the Bundesliga.

Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Timmo Hardung has said: “Éric Junior has shown in his first season what great potential he has. We are pleased that he will stay with Eintracht and continue his development with the team.”

Ebimbe will look to help his new side qualify for the Europa League when they face RB Leipzig in the DFB-Pokal final on Saturday. The French midfielder is now Eintracht’s fifth signing of the summer after announcing the capture of Hugo Larsson from Malmö FF on Monday.
