The post-Joshua Zirkzee era begins at Bologna with the arrival of Thijs Dallinga.

An official confirmation from Bologna (via Gianluca Di Marzio) confirmed the signing of Thijs Dallinga from Ligue 1 side Toulouse.

The operation will cost The Rossoblu €15 million plus bonuses as this is the conclusion of an important transfer following the departure of former star man Zirkzee to Manchester United.

The Emilian club faced little competition to secure the 23-year-old this summer, keeping most of the negotiations under the radar and moving in quickly to materialise it.

Dallinga is expected to be included as a first choice in the team and the Dutchman will aim to make it a memorable debut season by combining his clinical prowess in front of the goal with his physicality to set new standards for the club.

The forward starred for Toulouse for two consecutive seasons after arriving from Excelsior, scoring over 40 goals over the two campaigns across all competitions.
