Spain are gearing up for the FIFA World Cup which will begin in three days with a friendly encounter against Jordan. And manager Luis Enrique has named his starting XI for the contest, with three Barcelona players part of the team.

Enrique had already confirmed yesterday that Ansu Fati would be starting against Jordan and that is the case, with the 20-year-old forward getting the nod on the left flank, alongside Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio and Pablo Sarabia of PSG.

Fati could play the entire game so that he gets some minutes under his belt, having played sparingly throughout the season with the Blaugrana.

The second Barcelona player who makes the cut for the Spain starting XI is youngster Gavi, who slots into the middle of the park with Carlos Soler and Koke.

Finally, Eric Garcia gets the nod at the heart of the defence, where he is partnered with Aymeric Laporte. Dani Carvajal and Pau Torres line up as the full-backs, meaning Jordi Alba is on the bench.

Along with Alba, the other three Barcelona stars in the Spain roster – Sergio Busquets, Ferran Torres and Pedri are also among the substitutes and could play some minutes in the second half against Jordan.

Spain begin their World Cup campaign on November 23 against Costa Rica in Group E, following which they will face Germany and Japan.
