With Barcelona looking to stretch their lead atop the La Liga standings, they are set to face off against RCD Mallorca away at Estadi de Son Moix in a little while.
With kickoff not very further away, Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has unveiled the starting XI that will be taking the field against Javier Aguirre’s side.
The big surprise comes in the form of Robert Lewandowski being given a rest by Xavi, with Ferran Torres lining up as the centre-forward against Mallorca.
Raphinha and Joao Felix occupy the wide berths in attack for Barça, with Lamine Yamal once again on the bench.
With no Pedri or Frenkie de Jong, Barcelona’s midfield unit comprises of Ilkay Gundogan, Oriol Romeu, and Gavi.
Moving back into the defence, Inigo Martinez makes his first start as a Barcelona player, coming in for Jules Kounde at centre-back, where he partners Ronald Araujo. Andreas Christensen also gets benched.
Alejandro Balde returns at left-back while Joao Cancelo continues at right-back. Marc-Andre ter Stegen carries on in the Barcelona goal as always.
