Nottingham Forest to wear UNHCR logo on shirts | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest have announced that their players will wear the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) logo on their shirts for the remainder of the season.

The Tricky Trees have been without a shirt sponsor since they started their current campaign in the English top flight. However, they have now agreed a jersey sponsor partnership with the UN Refugee Agency.

Forest will resume their Premier League campaign on December 27 when they travel to Manchester United following the World Cup break.

They will wear blank red shirts for the game at Old Trafford, but the UNHCR logo will be on their jerseys for the home game with Chelsea on New Year’s Day.

The UNHCR is a global organisation that helps refugees all over the world. They help people flee areas of conflict and persecution.

The English club also announced that they will make a financial donation to the agency and will also try to raise awareness through their commercial and marketing channels.

A club statement said: “Nottingham Forest Football Club is proud to announce a new international charity partnership with UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, to support relief efforts for people fleeing conflict and persecution around the world.

“From the start of 2023 and for the remainder of the season, both the Nottingham Forest men’s and women’s teams will participate in all fixtures with the logo of UK for UNHCR on the front of their shirts, as a sign of solidarity for families who have been forced to flee their homes and communities.”

Nottingham Forest had a shirt sponsorship deal last season with BOXT, a company involved in the supply and installation of boilers, air conditioning and electric vehicle chargers.

However, the partnership didn’t extend into the 2022-23 campaign, and the club have been without a jersey sponsorship for the first half of the season.
