Nottingham Forest to complain over referee John Brooks’ performance in their 2-2 draw against Everton | OneFootball

Nottingham Forest are tired of the poor refereeing calls they have received this season and will take action, according to The Telegraph.

Manager Steve Cooper was furious with referee John Brooks’ performance in their 2-2 draw against Everton this weekend.

Forest will make an official complaint to the Professional Game Match Officials board (PGMOL). The club is compiling a list of mistakes by PGMOL officials against them.

Many people felt that Abdoulaye Doucoure fouled Jack Colback in the build-up to the first goal yesterday.

Doucoure towered over Colback to win a header before the Toffees won a penalty in the same sequence. Demarai Gray dispatched the spot-kick to give Everton the lead.

Forest equalised, but Everton retook the lead through Doucoure. However, Cooper felt Brooks should have awarded a foul on Morgan Gibbs-White before the goal.

Everton manager Sean Dyche also had complaints. He felt his side deserved a penalty for a foul on Seamus Coleman.

This is not the first time Brooks has come under fire this season. PGMOL dropped him a few weeks ago for two matches after he made a high-profile error during Crystal Palace’s clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Brooks denied Brighton a perfect goal during their clash with the Eagles, and the game ended in a draw.

Apart from the refereeing decisions, Forest are also angry with some referee appointments for their games since their return to the Premier League.

Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis and other club authorities believe the club needs to be firm in its stance.

Cooper received an £8,000 fine from the Football Association for comments about referee Thomas Bramall following their defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers last November.
