Nottingham Forest have submitted a new offer for Dilane Bakwa (22), according to a report from Mohamed Toubache-Ter. Strasbourg have already rejected a bid from the Premier League club for the Frenchman in the region of €28m.
The new bid submitted for the 22-year-old by Forest is believed to be worth €31m excluding bonuses. This offer falls within the Racing club’s evaluation for the attacker, which is within the region of €30m – €35m, L’Équipe understands. Bakwa was crucial for Strasbourg last season as they qualified for European football. The former Bordeaux player scored 6 goals and registered 9 assists in all competitions.
The France U21 international’s current contract at the Stade de la Meinau is set to expire in 2027. Whilst, the Alsatian outfit were quick to reject the first offer submitted by Nottingham, they were anticipating a second bid, and now it remains to be seen to see how they will react as the Premier League club move closer to their asking price.
