Howard Webb and PGMOL are set to grant Nottingham’s request for VAR audio following their controversial handling of the decisions in their game against Everton.

Nottingham Forest are set to have their request fulfilled as they receive access to the match officials’ audio from Sunday’s clash against Everton, while Howard Webb, the chief of PGMOL, gears up to address refereeing concerns on the upcoming Mic’d Up program next week, as reported by Nottinghamshire Live.

In their ongoing efforts to address concerns about officiating integrity in the Premier League, Forest specifically asked the governing body responsible for appointing match officials to provide the audio recordings of conversations between referee Anthony Taylor and VAR Stuart Atwell, particularly those leading to three penalty decisions favoring Everton. Concurrently, they called for a review of rules regarding referee allegiances.

This request coincides with investigations launched by both the Premier League and the Football Association into controversial remarks made publicly by Forest, manager Nuno Espirito Santo, defender Neco Williams, and advisor Mark Clattenburg.

Forest joins Liverpool in seeking access to officials’ audio, with the latter previously requesting recordings related to a disallowed goal during their match against Tottenham.
