Newly promoted Nottingham Forest have continued their impressive summer recruitment drive with the signing of Orel Mangala from Stuttgart.
Mangala moves to the City Ground for a fee reported to be £12.75m with £4m in add-ons, and he has signed a long-term contract with the club.
The 24-year-old joined Stuttgart from Anderlecht in 2017 and went on to make 109 appearances for the Bundesliga club, scoring three goals and assisting 10 others.
He has so far been capped once for Belgium at senior level and operates primarily as a holding midfielder, although he has also been deployed in a move advanced role and wide on the right too.
Mangala’s arrival means Forest have spent over £80m this summer, with Taiwo Awoniyi, Moussa Niakhat and Omar Richards also moving from the Bundesliga.
Steve Cooper’s side will certainly be one to watch in their first season back in the Premier League next term.
