Nottingham Forest have officially announced the signing of French striker Arnaud Kalimuendo from Rennes.
The 23-year-old forward joins Forest on a five-year contract in a deal reportedly worth around £25 million.
Kalimuendo is a promising young striker known for his pace, intelligent movement and clinical finishing.
Having come through the Paris Saint-Germain academy, he gained valuable experience during loan spells at Lens before making a breakthrough at Rennes.
Kalimuendo scored 40 goals in 112 appearances, including 18 goals in the 2024-25 Ligue 1 campaign.
“When I heard about the interest from Forest, I was honoured,” Kalimuendo said while speaking as a Forest player for the first time.
“This is a proud moment for me, joining a team that had a strong season last year and a club with great history.
“I’m ready for the challenge, and I arrive here with good experience. I had a good season last year with goals and assists but I want more and want to reach a new level here.
“I can’t wait to play in the Premier League, and to play at the City Ground. I watched games from last season, and it’s clear the fans create a beautiful atmosphere.”
Kalimunedo’s arrival continues a flurry of transfer activity for Forest, who have now made seven new signings this summer as they prepare for a return to European football.
Nuno Espirito’s men made a bright start to the 2025/26 Premier League campaign courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Brentford on Sunday.
