He joins Omari Hutchinson and James McAtee, who both signed over the weekend, continuing Forest’s busy summer recruitment.

Kalimuendo arrives after an impressive campaign in Ligue 1, scoring 18 goals in 34 appearances last season. Since leaving Paris Saint-Germain’s academy for Rennes in 2022, he has accumulated 40 goals in 112 matches for the French side.

On the international stage, Kalimuendo was part of France’s squad at the 2024 Paris Olympics, helping the team to a silver medal.

With Forest preparing for their first European adventure in 30 years following confirmation of their Europa League place by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the club have made strengthening their attack a top priority.

Speaking to the club's media team, Kalimuendo said: “When I heard about the interest from Forest, I was honoured. This is a proud moment for me, joining a team who had a strong season last year and a Club with great history.

“I’m ready for the challenge, and I arrive here with good experience. I had a good season last year with goals and assists but I want more and want to reach a new level here.

“I can’t wait to play in the Premier League, and to play at the City Ground. I watched games from last season and it’s clear the fans create a beautiful atmosphere. I'm excited to see them and impatient to get started.”
