Nottingham Forest striker Sam Surridge is on the verge of a move to Nashville after the two clubs agreed a fee.

According to the Athletic, a deal in the region of £5m has already been struck for the 24-year-old’s transfer.

The 24-year-old became a popular figure at the City Ground after helping Forest secure a long-awaited Premier League return.

But with a year remaining on his current deal, Surridge is set to pursue a switch to the MLS despite interest from several Championship clubs.

He scored three times from 27 appearances in all competitions last season as Steve Cooper’s side successfully consolidated their top flight standing.
