Nottingham Forest winger Ramon Sosa has completed a permanent switch to Brazilian side Palmeiras in a deal worth around £10 million.
The Paraguayan international only arrived at the City Ground last summer from Argentine club CA Talleres, but has now made a swift return to South America after just one season in England.
Sosa, 25, made 23 appearances in all competitions under Nuno Espírito Santo, scoring three goals. However, he struggled to nail down a regular starting spot, starting just once in the Premier League.
The wide man, who has been capped 22 times by Paraguay, now joins Palmeiras - four-time winners of the Copa Libertadores — as they look to strengthen their push in Brazil’s Série A. The São Paulo-based club are currently fourth in the table.
Palmeiras were knocked out of the FIFA Club World Cup at the weekend, losing to Chelsea in the quarter-finals.
