The two sides will meet at Carrow Road on 12 May for the first leg of their semi-final.

The reverse fixture will take place at Elland Road on 16 May, with the winner progressing to the final at Wembley Stadium on 26 May.

Southampton or West Brom await in that final, with a place in the Premier League next season on the line.

Leeds have lost four of their last six going into Sunday’s trip to Norfolk, while David Wagner’s side has won just two of their last seven in the league.

Clarke: Norwich need home leg win v Leeds

Clarke believes that Norwich’s poor away record means the Canaries must get a result at home in the first leg to have a chance.

While he has claimed Wagner’s team can get something from that first game, he has ultimately predicted Leeds to advance to May’s showpiece final.

“I wouldn’t fancy Norwich to win the second leg,” said Clarke, via the What the EFL?! podcast.

“Their away record is pretty poor anyway.

“They didn’t put up much of a fight at Birmingham on the last day.

“And they’ve lost a lot of matches to some pretty average teams away from Carrow Road this season.

“So yes I think for Norwich to stand any chance of getting to Wembley they need to win and they’ve got a chance of winning, there’s no doubt about that.

“As you said, great home form, good forward players, obviously Josh Sargeant is a real handful.

“[Gabriel] Sara has got that ability to produce game-changing moments and Leeds are certainly on their knees a little bit form-wise.

“So it’s a worry really that they lost meekly at home to Southampton in the way they did.

“So I’d almost make Norwich favourites for the first leg but over the two I’d still just about side with Leeds United.

“Wouldn’t surprise me if this is quite cagey.”

Leeds v Norwich head-to-head

Leeds won both of the meetings between these two sides during the regular campaign, claiming a 3-2 victory at Carrow Road.

Just one goal separated them again at Elland Road in January when Farke’s men won 1-0.

An own goal from Shane Duffy, as well as a Crysencio Summerville brace, sealed an away win for the Whites back in October, while Patrick Bamford’s goal was enough to put away Wagner’s side at the turn of the year.

The first leg at Carrow Road will get underway at 12pm.

Leeds have the upper hand in Norwich semi-final tie

Leeds will be the favourites among many neutrals going into the first leg of their semi-final clash with Norwich.

While the Whites have struggled for form in recent weeks, they will still be fancied to get their way through Wagner’s side due to the quality of their squad.

Norwich aren’t exactly in great form themselves, despite only losing once in their recent poor run, so this tie could be decided by who best rises to the occasion.

If Leeds can take a positive result back to Elland Road, then it is hard to imagine them letting that slip at home.
