With a £50 million release clause in his contract, his transfer fee isn’t too steep as Bernardo Silva appears to be moving on from Manchester City. However, this price might be too high for one potential club, which could give Paris Saint-Germain a clear shot at signing him.

Paris Saint-Germain and FC Barcelona are the two clubs keen on Silva this summer, who made 48 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring 11 goals and 10 assists.

Still, the Spanish club might be falling out of the race to land the veteran playmaker. Mundo Deportivo reports that Barça will have problems paying around €55 million to sign Silva.

Transfer window specialist Fabrizio Romano recently updated the Premier League club’s pursuit of a replacement for Silva in West Ham United standout Lucas Paquetá. The wheels are in motion to see if the Brazilian could fill the shoes left behind with the 29-year-old’s potential exit.

Silva’s agent, Jorge Mendes, might be crucial in deciding where Silva ends up, thanks to his good relationship with PSG’s sporting advisor, Luis Campos. Additionally, Campos has a history with Silva, having previously brought him to AS Monaco when he was in charge there.
