Arsenal will welcome Burnley at the Emirates Stadium this Saturday as they try to secure all three points at home in Premier League football. The Gunners managed to secure an impressive 2-0 victory over Sevilla recently which should give them a lot of confidence ahead of this game.

Mikel Arteta will opt for a 4-3-3 formation once again but will be sweating on the fitness of Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Martin Odegaard going into this clash. Both Saka and Nketiah are expected to start if they can both pass a late fitness test.

Defence

David Raya will feature in between the sticks for the Gunners after securing a shutout versus Sevilla in midweek. Gabriel will play alongside William Saliba at the centre of the Arsenal backline as they focus on keeping tidy tidy on the defensive end of the field.

Ben White will function as the right-back while Oleksandr Zinchenko hopes to produce a solid display on the other flank as the left-back. Arteta would offer both of them the license to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.

Jakub Kiwior will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Midfield

Fabio Vieira, Declan Rice and Kai Havertz will make up Arsenal’s midfield three as they look to move the ball well and engineer enough clear-cut chances to win this home game.

This match might come too soon for Martin Odegaard who is struggling with a groin injury. However, Jorginho will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if needed.

Attack

Gabriel Martinelli would try to put his pace to good use on the left-wing while Bukayo Saka will get a chance to impress as the right-sided wide player if he can pass a late fitness test.

Eddie Nketiah is also a significant concern ahead of this contest. However, the English striker should get the nod to lead the line if he can recover in time for this game.

Leandro Trossard will be on stand-by on the bench as he awaits his chance to catch the eye in the latter stages if Arteta decides to call upon his services.
