Nine players sign contract extensions at Leicester City | OneFootball

Leicester City have revealed the news that nine players have signed contract extensions with the club ahead of the 2025/2026 season.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this afternoon.

It has been reported that Janice Cayman, Missy Goodwin, Janina Leitzig, Julie Thibaud, Sam Tierney, Hannah Cain, Shannon O’Brien, Simone Sherwood and Nelly Las have all signed new deals with the East Midlands club. Leicester City remain in contract talks with several other players as preparations for the new season continue.

In terms of departures, Lena Petermann, Saori Takarada and Yuka Momiki had already had their Leicester City exits confirmed earlier this summer. The club have now also advised that CJ Bott, Courtney Nevin and Deanne Rose are moving on.

The 2024/2025 season was a real rollercoaster for Leicester City. New boss Amandine Miquel arrived at The King Power Stadium last summer with an impressive CV but an injury crisis severely disrupted her side’s progress last term. Leicester City spent most of the season without available forwards. The injury list did reduce late in the season and The Foxes were able to accrue their highest top flight points tally to date of 20 points. Leicester City will be aiming for further improvement this season.
