When Newcastle United used to play Bournemouth under Eddie Howe, I was always impressed by their style of play.

I also thought that he seemed to get the best out of his players.

So when wor Mandy decided to appoint Eddie Howe, I genuinely thought he could get us out of this relegation mess.

Even taking into account the total shambles left by the previous regime.

Now, after Saturday’s total humiliation, I am not so sure.

It is now becoming increasingly apparent that the NUFC Head Coach is failing to get any kind of a better tune out of this Newcastle United squad (Man Utd at home covering up a multitude of sins).

Don’t get me wrong, I am desperate for Eddie Howe to get it right.

He gets the fans, gets the club and the region.

However, as it stands we are going down.

So what do we do, stick and take a season in the Championship, or twist and give Everton what they want for Rafa? (Although judging by their away support at Hull City on Saturday, an overwhelming majority of them would offer to personally drive him up here).

Also, nice guy Eddie’s post-match interview was almost Bruce-esqe.

In time, I think Eddie Howe will come good, but do we have time on our side???
