Neymar did his part during Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 away fixture against Rennes. The Brazilian forward scored a key penalty goal in the match, which was his eighth Ligue 1 score of the season.

Overall, Neymar now stands at 86 career goals in his PSG career with 55 of them coming in Ligue 1 and 11 from domestic cup fixtures. The Brazilian star needs a mere one more goal to move into a tie with current PSG versatile playmaker Angel Di Maria for eighth on the club’s all-time goal-scoring list.

PSG now currently has three more fixtures remaining on its schedule, so Neymar will have multiple opportunities to reach this milestone before the end of the season.

Over the first half of next season, Neymar should be on pace to reach 100 career goals with PSG. This potential feat would only add to his resume in being one of the greatest talents to ever feature for PSG.
