FIFA announced the final vote for The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2020 award. To no surprise, FC Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski won the award for the first time in his career. The Polish striker finished the year winning the UEFA Champions League and Bundesliga along with topping out as the top scorer in both competitions.

Paris Saint-Germain forwards Neymar and Kylian Mbappe also finished in the top 10 for the award.

Neymar finished ninth in the final vote while Mbappe topped out at two spots ahead of the Brazilian.

Of course, with any award vote, there could be much debate as to the placement of the top 10 for the award. For both Neymar and Mbappe, they both led PSG to a domestic-treble winning season and recorded multiple signature performances in the UEFA Champions League over the calendar year.

Nonetheless, both players are expected to once again be contenders for the award next year. If PSG can win the Champions League and if they have strong showings in their upcoming respective international tournaments, the two may be deemed as serious favorites for the award next year.
