We’re counting down the list of Newcastle’s 10 worst jerseys of all time.
In at number seven is a goalkeeping howler …
Goalkeeping kits aren’t immune from disaster when it comes to the Magpies and in fact, are just as bad as outfield efforts.
None more so than the jersey from 1997/98, worn by the likes of Shaka Hislop and Pavel Srníček – much to their chagrin surely.
This orange kit with outward-moving circles does nothing but make us dizzy and have us reaching for the bucket, in more ways than one.
If there is anything positive to say about it, it is that perhaps the crafty manufacturers designed it with that in mind.
Perhaps it was a ploy to put off opposition strikers? It certainly would have worked on us!
Check back in tomorrow when we will be revealing number six.
