PEP PREVIEW

"It’s important to win the title no matter when. We did it this time and are going to prepare the next game is Newcastle then Brighton and Everton, then the last game v Chelsea.

"But the best way to prepare for the final is to train good every day and play good in our last games.

"This one [title win] in the pandemic around the world makes this title a little different, but the pleasure to win and the amount effort behind it makes every title special in the Premier League. It’s so nice."

STEVE BRUCE PREVIEW

"You have to say congratulations to Manchester City. They've been absolutely breathtaking at times this year.

"You even see them blowing way top teams in Europe.

"They're an unbelievably good outfit so we'll have to be somewhere near our best to get anything from them but let's enjoy the challenge."

INJURY NEWS

Pep Guardiola has confirmed Kevin De Bruyne will remain sidelined ahead of the trip to St. James' Park.

City's John Stones is available for selection after completing a three-match domestic suspension.

Newcastle's Fabian Schar is suspended and unavailable for the game.

FORM GUIDE

We go into the game looking to bounce back to winning ways after Saturday’s 2-1 loss at home to Chelsea.

However, depending on how Manchester United fare on Tuesday and Thursday this week, Pep Guardiola’s could have been confirmed as champions by the time we play on Friday.

Newcastle have enjoyed a spring resurgence under Steve Bruce and secured an excellent 4-2 win away at Leicester City last time out.

LAST MEETING

City secured a festive three point haul as we overcome the Magpies 2-0 at the Etihad when we last met on Boxing Day night.

Ilkay Gundogan and Ferran Torres both found the target as we secured a 12th consecutive home league win against Newcastle.
