Newcastle United have publicly unveiled their new home kit for the 2019/20 season.
It is a 1969-inspired effort, marking the 50th anniversary of the Magpies’ win in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup.
The Tyneside outfit beat Hungarian side Újpesti Dózsa 6-2 on aggregate in a two-legged final and have celebrated the anniversary with their new home jersey.
However, we aren’t fans of the effort.
The thick stripes, centralised crest and messy sponsors above and below it don’t quite do it for us.
The only consolation will be if Rafael Benítez is still around to watch his players wearing it.
