Feyenoord’s teenage loanee Yankuba Minteh grabbed his 10th goal of the season in the sides 3-2 win over NEC. The 19-year-old Gambian international has had a fantastic season on loan at the club , grabbing 11 goals in all competitions and providing six assists. The former Odense attacker has yet to play a game for Newcastle, having been sent out on loan almost immediately after signing.
Minteh and Feyenoord saw PSV win the title from them this season but have still had a good campaign, finishing well ahead of FC Twente in third place. Minteh is under contract at Newcastle until 2028 and will be hoping that his season in the Dutch top flight will give him a chance of some playing time back in the Premier League.
With Arne Slot set to depart at the end of this season, Feyenoord have been on an impressive winning run. They have won the last six, including the KNVB Cup final win over NEC. Their season finishes against Excelsior, a side looking to avoid finishing third bottom and having to play a relegation play-off against a side from the second-tier.
