In a recent report, The Sunday Mirror (25/9; page 77) revealed that Newcastle United have identified Leicester City talent Youri Tielemans as a target for this January transfer window. It has been stated that the Magpies are eyeing a £15m move for the Belgian international this winter.

Tielemans is having a difficult campaign at the King Power Stadium as he has failed to help Leicester pick up results in Premier League football. The 25-year-old has only registered one goal and one assist in eight matches for the Foxes this season in various competitions.

The Belgian sensation has been a consistent performer for the East Midlands club as he is averaging 2.1 tackles, 0.6 interceptions, 0.7 clearances, 1.3 shots, 1.7 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League.
