Garang also received his first cap for the Socceroos on Sunday, playing an integral role off the bench against New Zealand in an international friendly, setting up a penalty in the second half.

Kuol, whose brother Alou currently plies his trade for VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, scored four goals in nine games in the most recent A-League Men campaign.

He starred against FC Barcelona in the A-Leagues All Stars fixture in May and is set to be the first A-League Men player to sign directly for an English Premier League club since Daniel Arzani in May of 2018 where he signed for Manchester City.

George also hosts the “Pitch to Park” podcast with Kick360’s Neal Symons.

“It’s incredible to see such wonderful Australian talent head overseas and not just to any club, but a Premier League club”, Mells said.

“Of course, I can speak to my own time at the Premier League academies and can tell you first hand there’s nothing quite like it anywhere in the world.

“We’ve seen in a short space what Garang can do and the excitement he brings with his energy and flair.

“I hope this Australian talent is managed correctly so we can start producing the next golden generation.”
