Newcastle have confirmed they have completed the signing of defender Matt Targett from Aston Villa.
The left-back will play his football at St.James’ Park until the end of the 2021/22 season.

The 26-year-old is the Magpies’ fourth addition of the January transfer window after Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood and Bruno Guimarães.
Targett made over 85 appearances for Villa had recently fallen down the pecking order after the arrival of Lucas Digne to the club.
