Journalist Dean Jones has refused to rule out the possibility of the Magpies securing a deal to sign the forward in the future, however unlikely it may seem at the moment.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “Harry Kane, obviously, would be an unbelievable get. It seems undoable right now, but things can quickly turn and you never know.”

Newcastle fans will be buzzing with this news for multiple reasons.

Firstly, the prospect of seeing a player of Kane’s quality in a black and white shirt is a tantalising one. He has proven himself to be an elite goalscorer over the years for Spurs.

Antonio Conte recently dubbed the goalscoring machine as “world-class” and it is easy to see why when you take a dive into his statistics. The £90m-rated striker has produced 238 goals and 52 assists in 370 first-team outings for Tottenham throughout his career.

This shows that he can score goals at a phenomenal rate and that is why fans would love to see a player with his ability to find the back of the net playing for Eddie Howe’s side.

The supporters will also be delighted because of what this claim means for the club’s current stature in comparison to where they were under Mike Ashley.

Simon Jordan previously blasted the former Magpies owner for his role in a failed move for Hamza Choudhury last year, as the Sports Direct supremo reportedly refused to fund the deal. He said:
